Mangaluru: Awareness on Entrepreneurship Schemes held in Neermarga church

Mangaluru, Mar 16: CODP in collaboration with Commission for Laity and Commission for Social Welfare organized an awareness programme on Government Schemes and Livestock Production and Management in the Parish Hall on 13 th March, 2022.

‘You cannot analyze God. He is too awesome, too big, too mysterious. The Event initiated with an Invocation Song rendered by Deona D'Souza and Melba Pereira. Cheerfulness is an off shoot of goodness and of wisdom. The attendees of diverse Faiths were welcomed amicably by Shaila D'Souza, Coordinator of Commission for Laity.

Light is a symbol of life, happiness, prosperity and in a wider sense of perfect being. Fr Anil D'Mello, parish priest, Rita D’Souza, CODP coordinator, Jyothi D'Silva -Director of Karavali Pig Farmers Producer Company Limited, Dayanand Adyar- President of South Kanara Poultry Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Fredrick Pereira , Ravi Saldanha-Vice President, Parish Pastoral Council, Prakash Pereira- Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council, Maurice Renjal- Coordinator of 21 Commissions, Shaila D'Souza – Coordinator of Commission for Laity, Flavia D'Souza -Coordinator of Commission for Social Welfare lit the Diya.

Fr Anil D'Mello in his presidential address requested the participants to seize the opportunities and to broaden the horizon of knowledge regarding Modern Techniques of Farming and to be aware and avail Government Schemes.

Rita D'Souza underlined the Benefits, Eligibility Criteria, Documents required of Government Backed Life and Accident Insurance Schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyothi Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Sandhya Suraksha Yojana, Shishu Vikasa Yojana.

Jyothi D'Silva started his session by disclosing three secrets of his success in pig farming 1. Belief in himself and did not give up 2. Strength comes from an indomitable will and 3. Work, continuous work and hard work is the only way to accomplish results that lasts. Thereafter he spotlighted on care and management of Sow, Boar and Piglets. Feeder Pig Marketing Techniques were vividly explained.

Dayanand Adyar Underscored Swarnadhara Poultry Bird Rearing. Merlyn Pereira compered the programme. Laveena D'Souza introduced the speakers of the day. Helen Lewis and Rajesh Nelson D Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
