Bengaluru: Three held for collecting money to absolve ACB raided officials

Bengaluru, Mar 18: Police personnel of the high grounds station here have arrested three persons who had collected ten lac rupees from three Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) officials by promising them to absolve them from corruption charges. These officials were raided by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials.

The arrested trio happen to be Praveen (27) from Banashankari, Chetan (33) from Naqgarbhavi here, and Manoj Kumar (46) from Domlur. Another person, identified as Vijayakumar, has remained evasive. Search for him is continuing, the police said.

Chetan works as a computer operator on contract basis in the BDA office. The other accused are into real estate business.
