Mandya: Tipper hits flyover pillar, burns down along with driver

Mandya, Mar 18: After a tipper hit the flyover pillar, which is part of the Mysuru-Bengaluru road widening project in front of LIC office in Maddur, fire got ignited and the driver along with the truck, were burnt into ashes. This accident happened on Thursday March 17 morning.

The tipper driver who lost his life in the accident was Dinesh (48), son of Channayya from Narasanakuppe village, Hassan district. He is survived by wife, Lata, and two sons.

Dinesh was driving the tipper laden with crushed stones from Ramanagara to Mysuru when tragedy struck.

Even though the fire brigade arrived on the scene and succeeded in dousing the flames, the driver had died by then. On the basis of a complaint filed by Yoganand, friend of the deceased, a case was registered in Maddur police station.
