Mangaluru: Prohibitory orders extended till March 31

Mangaluru, Mar 21: The prohibitory orders issued in the district in the light of the Hijab controversy for maintaining peace within the limits of Dakshina Kannada district police department has been extended till 6 pm on March 31 by an order issued by the district deputy commissioner under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The commissioner of Mangaluru police commissionerate has said that prohibitory orders have been issued for a radius of 200 metres around schools, colleges and other educational institutions within the commissionerate limits till 6 pm on March 31.
