Daijiworld Media Network - Dharwad (SP)

Dharwad, Mar 21: There are rumours that the chairman of the state legislative council, Basavaraj Horatti, will be crossing over to the BJP and fight the next election from teachers’ constituency (west) on a BJP ticket.

Seven persons, who claim to be BJP activists, in the meanwhile, have written to BJP national president J P Nadda, whereby they have listed out ten points to oppose the admission of Horatti into the party.

In the meantime, union minister, Pralhad Joshi, in reply to a question raised at Hubballi by the media persons on the issue, admitted that there are rumours that seven leaders have registered their opposition to Horatti's proposed induction into the BJP. He, however hastened to add that Horatti has never said that he would be joining the BJP.
