Thanks, Fr. Bonaventure, for your dynamic and wonderful leadership at the Valencia Parish, a place very dear to our heart because we both were born in that God's loving Parish. When we indicate in every travel document that we were born at Valencia, people are of the opinion that we are either from Spain or Portugal or Italy. People in the Western world get amazed to know that we have the name "Valencia" in India. Most of the people do not even fathom that India has nearly 30 million Christians with a strong faith in God. India is a God's country.

Valencia parish treasures the remains of our parents and many family members. We shall always visit Valencia parish with reverence and respect because the Parish has given us the dignity and integrity in every step of the way. God bless the Parish and the nice people of Valencia. We still have the dvd of the celebrations that took place 15 years ago during the time of Fr. Alexander and also late Bishop Albert D'Souza. God bless and keep up the good work. As and when we visit Mangalore we shall always visit with you.

I am extremely happy to see the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of St. Vincent Ferrar Church, Valencia. I have pleasant memories of The Parish when it first commenced 75 years ago. It was a small Chapel which presently is The Last Resort for some of the priests. The present Church was built much later. I can recall The First Parish Priest - Father Monthu Menezes (Hope my memory is right) He did a great job getting people together. He was also a keen shikar and I remember having gone on a shooting venture with him. It was a very interesting experience. Of course of I was a little boy in school.

It is good to see that The Church has progressed so well over the years.

My good wishes are with The Parish and The Parisheners.
