Mangaluru: COVID-Suspended Bondel Laughter Club Set For Relaunch on March 27

Mangaluru, Mar 24: The daily sessions of Bondel Laughter Club, suspended for the last two years due to COVID restraints, is set for relaunch on Sunday, March 27, at 8 AM on Housing Board Maidan, Gundu Rao Road, Bondel. The relaunch would be done by Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, Parish Priest, St Lawrence Church, Bondel. The laughter club session will last 25 minutes.

Started by Bondel resident John B. Monteiro, author and journalist, in 2002, including the COVID suspension period, the laughter club is in its 20th year in Bondel. He had conducted laughter club sessions at the Gateway of India in Mumbai in the mornings and for office-goers in the lunch break in the business district of Ballard Estate.

Mr. Monteiro and his associates are geared to help those who wish to start laughter clubs in their areas with specially-designed instruction folders and with the on-the-spot initial launch. This offer also includes schools and colleges.

COVID protocols (face mask and physical distancing) apply to all participants at the relaunch function
