Kundapur: Wild Buffalo Hits Vehicle – Three Serious

Kundapur, Feb 2: In an incident that occurred at Bhandragundi near Kollur in the taluk on Tuesday February 1, three persons, who were moving in a van, sustained grave injuries.

Vijay Suvarna, employed in Bank of Baroda, Mumbai branch, was proceeding to Kollur temple in a Maruti Omni van with his family, when a wild buffalo, which rushed in from nearby forest region, hit the vehicle with full might. While the buffalo ran to the forest on the other side of the road, Vijay Suvarna, Hemavati, and Prashant Shriyan, who were travelling in the van, suffered critical injuries.

The front portion of the van was badly mangled in the incident. The injured are being treated in a private hospital here. A case has been registered in Kollur police station.
