Kundapur, Feb 2: State rural development and panchayat raj minister, Jagadish Shettar, has said that a sum of one crore rupees will shortly be released to each of the assembly constituencies in the state. He also informed, that every gram panchayat in the state will also receive grants ranging from nine to twelve lac rupees, based on their populations.
A G Kodgi, chairman of the Task Force for the Implementation of the Third Finance Commission’s Report, revealed that he had met the minister recently to hold discussions about the development plans, and that the above assurance was given during discussions.
