Mangalore: Three Get Tossed Out of Bus, One Dies

Mangalore, Feb 3: Ganesh (29) from Yeyyady in the city died on Wednesday February 2, after he was tossed out of a private service bus in front of the petrol bunk located at KPT Circle in the city.

As the bus jolted severely while negotiating a hump, three men, Ganesh, Dileep, and Antappa, were thrown out of the bus. All the three were seriously injured. They were admitted into a private hospital. Ganesh succumbed to his injuries later, while two others are recovering, policemen of traffic (east) police station here, who have registered a case, said.

    Now, Its duty of RTO to cancel the permit of service busses who dont have permits those who doesnt have valid permit to enter inside the mangalore City. ?? Anyone knows how many permits are there still with the valid/legal route etc. ??

    Cause - Rash & Negligent driving by semi literate drivers who got their HDL by bribing the RTO.Solution to avoid accidents like this and to avoid foot the risky board travel - make it mandatory for both the front and rear entrance to have doors closed while the vehicle is in motion. Life is precious - the private bus owners rake in enough profit and this additonal cost should not be a issue.

    Now a days, it is common in Mangalore City Bus, who ever is strong & guts to stand near the door only can reach safely up-to State bank.
