We are Indian Muslims, have not come from Pakistan: Zameer Ahmad

Bengaluru, Apr 11 (IANS): Former minister and Congress MLA B.Z. Zameer Ahmad Khan on Monday said 'they were Indian Muslims and not from Pakistan and believed in coexistence'.

"We are not Muslims from Pakistan...Peace and coexistence is our first priority. We are Indian Muslims," he said.

Speaking to reporters, Khan charged the ruling BJP for communalising the youth's murder case in his constituency.

"We are living with honour and we will continue to live with dignity in future. We have not come from Pakistan," he reiterated.

Khan, who is one among the prominent Muslim leaders in the state, charged that ruling BJP was carrying out politics out of deaths also.

"This is wrong. My constituency witnessed one or the other communal clashes before I was elected. No communal incident has been reported for a long time after. BJP is planning to create clashes in the constituency and using the murder case of Chandru for vote bank politics," he alleged.

Chandru, a youth was murdered last week following a road rage case. State Home Minister Araga Jnanendra stated that the murder took place as youth did not speak Urdu. The home minister later apologised for the statement.

The case had been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), after the ruling BJP leaders slammed the police department refusing to accept their report that the murder was due to road rage incident. The BJP leaders also visited the house of the deceased to pay condolences to the family.

"I will not let BJP vitiate the atmosphere. Bengaluru Police Commissioner has clarified about the murder. BJP is still trying to play a communal card in connection with the incident, he stated.

    He has a point. We live in a world where Taliban's treatment of women is not acceptable but Taliban's inspiration is from Barelvi form of Islam which has origin in India. Some in India are disowning Taliban in a argument, but many in India celebrated Taliban's take over of Kabul. Now the question for ZA: No hijab in Pakistan, but those kids who got to school in Karnataka should have the right for hijaab and everyone in Pakistan are demanding in their support. Mr. ZA, Is Pakistan our benchmark or Afghanistan? A little less important detail is that OBL was caught under the nose of Pak Military in Attotabad in Pakistan. Mr. ZA, will you now talk about Muslims? Muslims in Pakistan? Hindus in Pakistan? or where it all meets, in Afghanistan?

    Why should one tell we are from India or kerala or any country ?Are we not all humans ?And we should not specify from where we come but we do .This was not there before BJP came .some or other small difference were there for some days.Later it was forgotten.Now everybody acts as if they were in Modis Position ,give orders to Police or make them dance .!Where are we I htink sometimes.Brother hoodmand Sisters ,not visible.We all see with another eye or another religious status ,untouchable ,and speak only with weapons.We are not allowed to eat what we want .So far we are .And now only speak with religious catagory.Of course Muslims too have done a lot towards .By stealing cows or sheeps and brought their existence to downwards.But time has come to let all this to set aside and live peacefully instead of pushing and throatcutting ,let religion aside and live like before.Is it Possible?

    The BJP Govt either at the centre or in the state have nothing to showcase of their Governance and are only engaged in the Divide and rule policy and create communal problems in the state. The Govt in the state is bscoming known as one that is engaged in only Harassing Minorities. All this Divisive agenda is to divert the attention of the common man from their untold sufferings being faced by them.

Then, a million dollar question, what is hijaab, halaal, and fatawa alamgiri? Wake up, they accept that they did not come from India, Pakistan or any other nation, but came from Allah and go back to him...in 21st century do not insult our Muslim brother and sisters.
