Udupi: Thousands Attend Uroos at Sayyed Arabi Valiyullahi Masjid

Udupi, Feb 4: The ‘Safar Jiyarat’ ceremony was held at Sayyed Arabi Valiyullahi Masjid, Kaipunjalu, near Kaup, with devotion and reverence on Wednesday February 3.

The Uroos at Kaipunjalu is a centuries-old celebration governed by Jamia Masjid, Polipu, near here. People of other faiths and religions besides Muslims arrive in large numbers at the Uroos celebrations.



Masjid committee president K Moideen, vice-president Mohammed, secretary Abdul Hamid Master, treasurer K Ahmed, and community leaders took the leadership in the Uroos.

It was significant that Muslim women also participated in the Uroos in large numbers.
