Udupi Athletes Shine in Asian Karate Championship, Dhaka

Udupi, Feb 5: The members of Institute of Karate and Allied Arts representing the country have won second place (silver medal) in the ‘Team Kumite Championship’ at the 3rd Asia inter- continental WUKF Karate Championship 2011.

It was held at sohrawardi Indoor stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh, recently. Saleem Javed, Kiran Marshal, Devdas Salian and  Bharath Salian are the members of the winning team.  Saleem Javed and Kiran Marshal won gold in individual events. All the members are students of Prabhakar Kunder, Malpe.
