Udupi, Feb 5: The parish council and ICYM unit of Tallur parish organized a concert by Kevin Misquith who performed his 11th music concert at St Francis Assisi Church grounds, Tallur, here recently.
The concert was organized on the occasion of the parish feast of Tallur. The annual parish feast celebrations of St Francis of Assisi Church Tallur was celebrated on February 2. Fr Stany Lobo, parish priest of Guardian Angel Church Angelore was the main celebrant. The priests from Kundapura deanery were present. Fr Anil Castelino preached a homily.
The vicar vara of Kundapura Deanery, Fr Alban was the presided the stage programme. Fr Sunil Veigas, parish priest, Arun J Mendonca, vice-president and Stany D’Silva secretary of PPC, Rexton D’Almeida and Sr Jiji, superior of the parish convent were present on the dais.
‘Spandan’ the parish telephone directory was released by Fr Alban D’Souza on the occasion. He appreciated the parish youth for the endeavours taken to bring out the parish directory which contains the name of every parishioner and the telephone numbers.
The children and the youth of the parish presented various entertainment programmes.
Kevin Extravaganza:
Kevin Misquith along with his team of young and prolific performers entertained over 2,000 people. Robin Sequera, Lavita Lobo, Royston Pinto among other singers performed Kevin's super-hit songs like Mhoeja Anja, Kenna Kenna, Hee Jeen, Raath Moni Moni, Naach Bindas, Yo Moga, Kalza Thar and other numbers.
Chris Collen choreographed the dances for the show while Bindass Pernal entertained with jokes. Kevin Misquith and Lavita Lobo compered the concert.
Ashwin Sequeira, Jackson Noronha,Avin Mascarenhas, Patson Pereira, Dafnal Concesso, Clyde Lobo and Rikith scored the music for the concert. Kevin was felicitated by Fr Sunil Veigas during the stage program at the beginning of the concert.
The concert was also a part of the series of concerts planned by the team across the konkan belt. The team humbly requests the konkani associations, parishes and well wishers all over to provide them the opportunity to perform at various places.
