Karkala, Apr 16: As everyone knows, robotics is revolutionizing many industries today. In this era of automation, students at College Innovators Innovation & Product Development (CIIPD) Center-Nitte, have come up with an innovative 3D printed dancing robot.
This robot was developed by a team of four, where the students came from diverse educational backgrounds like Engineering, MCA, BBA etc. Robot development was made possible by the use of a combination of technologies, the design and the robot's body were created using 3D designing and modelling skills, and the robot operated with the help of microcontrollers, sensors, motors, etc. In fact, it is a matter of pride to see these students upgrade their skills and become industry-relevant.
Today’s industries demand students to build practical and real-time projects. Most students are aware of the need to have practical results but do not know where the right opportunities are. Students at CIIPD Center, Nitte believed that they not only had the right opportunity, but also mentorship, tools, training, resources, and most importantly, the innovation and maker space at Nitte that helped them not only think about an idea but also bring it into reality.
College Innovators is also setting up its innovation and maker space centers in various different colleges to identify and help students cater to the problems of society and come out with innovative and unique solutions. Opportunities like these are very important, as this help bring out the hidden potential among the youths. The lack of awareness is a major issue as many students with wonderful talents are going unnoticed.
The team consisted of Sannidhi Bhat (3rd-year Mechanical Engineering), Pawana Shetty (MCA), Anand J (3rd year Electronics and Communication Engineering) and Shalmali (1st year BBA) and another Moon Walking Robot designed by Apoorva (3rd year Computer Science). The project is mentored by Deekshith K R - result coach at College Innovators.
