Moodbidri, Feb 9: The book ‘Sathsya Sanjivini’ authored by Dr Shailesh M D of Moodbidri was released in the town, recently.  The programme was jointly organized by Alva’s Education Trust and Jain High School.
 
Inaugurating the programme, Dr Mohan Alva lauded the effort of Dr Shailesh who has given complete details about various Ayurvedic plants in the book. Dr Hansaraj Alva, Vinaya Hospital, Mangalore and Dr Ravish Tunga jointly released the book. U K Kumarnath, resident editor, Vijaya Karnataka, spoke on the occasion.
 
Former minister K Amarnath Shetty presided over the programme and felicitated the author. Retired principal of Muniyal Ayurveda College Ramesh Harvalkar, M Narayana Devadiga, and Rathnakar Devadiga, were present.

Gajanana R Upadhyaya welcomed the gathering. Shubha Sahana delivered the vote of thanks and Muniraj Renjala compered the programme. Various competitions were held on the occasion. ‘Kutumba’, a drama directed by Vijaykumar Kodialbail, was staged as part of the entertainment programme.
