Zurich, March 11 (DPA) FIFA has begun disciplinary proceedings against six match officials over suspected match-fixing at two international friendlies played in Turkey last month.
The games in Antalya Feb 9 were between Bolivia and Latvia, and Estonia against Bulgaria. All seven goals scored in the two matches were from penalties.
Football's world governing body Thursday said disciplinary proceedings were opened "following an evaluation of all documentation and information received by FIFA, in relation to a possible match-fixing situation in these matches".
Following the 2-2 draw between Bulgaria and Estonia, the Hungarian football association suspended the Hungarian match officials involved. Latvia won the other game 2-1.
Both games had been organised by a sports rights agency in Thailand.
