Mangalore, Mar 13: Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy organized competitions for Beary teachers from Dakshina Kannada at Hotel Pentagon Hall, Pumpwell here on Sunday March 13.
Prof K P Sufi, head of numerology department, SVS College, Bantwal inaugurated the competition and M B Abdul Rehman, president, Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy presided.
K N Gangadhar Alva, principal, Thumbe Pre-university College, Tumbe was the chief guest. Umarabba, registrar, welcomed the gathering.
Essay writing, quiz, poem, speech, story telling and Madarangi total six competitions were held. There will be three prizes in each category. The winners will get certificates from the academy.
