Mangalore, April 5: In a joint operation with mining, revenue and RTO department inspectors and officials, police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, deputy commissioner Subodh Yadav and assistant commissioner Prabhulinga Kavalikatte assisted by the police and geology department officers carried out a swing raid on illegal sand mining centres at Harekala, Pavoor in Konaje police station limit on Tuesday April 5 following complaints of illegal sand mining in the area.

The operation was conducted at around 12.00 in the afternoon. In all nine which were loaded with sands moving from the spot was stopped by the police and mining department officials and was seized on the road. The lorries are in possession of Konaje Police. Konaje sub-inspector S F Lohar also took part in the operation.

Later speaking to presspersons DC Subodh Yadav said that FIR will be registered on all violators. He observed that none of the seized vehicles were installed with GPS which is a must and some of them even did not diaplay number plates. He added that the platform which has been temporarily constructed to let lorry move till the riverside will be demolished, thus giving break to illegal sand mining.

Incidentally the people engaged in sand mining as well as the several other lorries which were meant for transporting sands were parked, thus leading to a speculation that prior information had reached illegal sand lifters before the raid. The other side of the river (Adyar riverside), sand mining was being undertaken fearlessly despite presence of offices of various departments.

Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh said that more details will be collected through the phones which have been seized from the lorry drivers and humps will be erected in all the curves in order to stop lorry moving from the areas. He said that the kingpin behind the illegal act will be arrested under provision of Goonda act.

Mr.Allwyn, let me correct you on few things. Do not feel bad,as we all live in corrupt and mean world. You have used a word "NIL"
Last 3 governers from Illinois went to jail. 2 Democrats and 1 Republican. To monitor the police activities such as bribe from criminals like Drug and Porn peddlers during traffic stop, now they use cameras. How many state employees were arrested for stealing public aid and health care money. If not enough please check on Zoning violations because money changing hands. How about Louisiana flood money mishandling.
There are many cases I can give you. What about Corruption in Iraq War money handling.
You have mentioned about everybody is equal. This is because there is law on equality now. Why Rev.Martin Luther King marched in Montegomery,Alabama. Have you ever been to any Southern states. Even state employees show their feelings. There are Ten commandments God has given. If Almighty has to give these commandments, then illegal acts were happening during His time too. But Karnataka is most corrupt and I agree with you 100%.

Thank you Dear Mr. Joe D’Souza- Mangalore for reading my comments and your suggestion. I do agree the corruption is there all over the world. But as I know [I work for Government means State job in America ] and it is true that corruption over in America is so low or not there. Every thing is transparent and every individual is equal. Even a house keeping staff should be respected. The cheating in quality of work, cheating to citizen, manipulating of evidence in government offices, and giving false statements by elected political leaders absolute NIL. I feel so sad the people who live in Karnataka State and India. I born over there and worked in Middle East and now in America. I know the difference and it is really hurting me so much. Just because of our stupid politicians most of the citizens are suffering. It is sad and also frustrating and feels like to k…all these stupid’s. But what to do……I fear God.

Mr.Allwyn from USA,said it very well. But corruption is there in your place too. I have seen it past many years. But the difference is one form of corruption covers the other in Karnataka.
Mr. Hamid, please note that when a poor hungry man steals a loaf of bread, he is called thief. But when a Politician, govt. Official,Builder-developer steals land in crores,he is titled as corrupt. A down graded version of thief.

Is there any thing LEGAL now in Karnataka State?

From the leadership to the bottom waste in road all things are illegal. This is the Great development of Karnataka State which is done by our great political leaders.

    Some of Illegal things are:
Illegal MLA- Changing their political party for their benefit.

Illegal Mining – Cheating the government and country.

Illegal liquor – It kill the poor people who consume it.

Illegal Appointment – Easy way to become rich.

Illegal construction – By the fake document and work, the authorities and builders are bluffing the citizens.

Illegal Promises – Our CM, Ministers, elected candidates from all political parties and sad to say even judiciary too.

Illegal Law and Order – Many unauthorized groups are acting like Law & Order authorities and attacking innocents and females.

Illegal waste – We can find the garbage every were in Karnataka state.

There are many of them but I do not like to put every single one here but these are common one where every citizen can find in daily life.

What a great State and we should be proud of it but because of our corrupt political leaders make us shame to tell that we are from Karnataka State. Still we defend in many cases saying that,” Except Political Leaders and their followers Karnataka State is very good and we are from KARANATAKA STATE”.
