Mangaluru: MCC Bank Kinnigoli branch holds customer meet

Mangaluru, Sep 4: On the occassion of the post Centenary Decennial celebration of the bank, a customer meet of Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd, (MCC Bank Ltd) Kinnigoli Branch, was organized at th Immaculate Conception Church hall on Sunday September 4. 

The customer Meet was presided over by the chairman of the bank, Anil Lobo. The meet was formally inaugurated by Fr Paustine L Lobo, parish priest of Immaculate Conception Church, Kinnigoli. Dhananjaya P Shettigar, owner of Chaithanya Medicals & Sagarika Arrangers, Sheikh Noorulla, business entrepreneur, were the guests of honour.

Fr Paustine L Lobo, in his inaugural speech, congratulated and thanked the chairman, management and staff of the bank for rendering and
completing 110 years’ of selfless service to the society. He opined that bank for customer and customer for bank; if this relationship is maintained by both the customer as well as the bank both will witness immense growth.

Dhananjaya P Shettigar said that unlike human, an organisation getting older means it is strengthening year by year just like MCC Bank has grown strength by strength over the years. The bank has served the customer without any discrimination.

Sheikh Noorulla said that he is a happy customer of the bank more due to the kind of service the bank renders and the cooperation and coordination of the staff.

On this occasion the customers who have their birthdays in the month of September were honoured. The senior citizen customers were congratulated and honoured with shawls and flower bouquets.

As a part of customer meet, an open session was held to give suggestions, opinion and also express their grievances. Customers actively took part in this interactive session and gave their valuable suggestions. Chairman Anil Lobo, in his presidential speech, clarified the reasons for conducting the Customer Meet in all the branches on the occasion of the post Centenary Decennial celebration of the bank. The main intension of the customer meet was to know the problems of the customers and address their issues.

He explained that the bank had earned a net profit of Rs. 8.27 Crore with a Net NPA of 1.60%. He said that the staff are given proper training in the premises of the bank to give better service to the customers. He also requested the customers to avail loan facilities which are offered at competitive rates of interest, especially education loan. He congratulated the branch managers and staff members for taking initiative and organising this customer meet.

Vice chairman Jerald Jude D'Silva, directors Andrew D'Souza, J P Rodrigues, David D'Souza, Harold Monteiro, Irene Rebello, professional directors Sushanth Saldanha, member of Board of Management, Alwyn P Monteiro and Felix D'Cruz, general manager Sunil Menezes, were also present.

General Manager Sunil Menezes explained the importance of the Customer meet. Branch Support Director Dr Freeda F Dsouza welcomed the gathering. Kinnigoli Branch Manager Anil R Dsouza proposed vote of thanks. Manoj Fernandes, compered the programme.

Employees of MCC Bank Kinnigoli branch, Pramod Cutinho, Jeena Mathais, Shainy Lasrado and Rancy D'Souza were actively associated in holding the meet. More than 300 customers of the branch actively participated in the customer meet.
