Kundapur: Teacher’s day celebrated at Vyasaraja auditorium

Kundapur, Sep 5: “Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan had great regard for teachers. He had indulged in research in the education sector and celebrating his birth anniversary as the teacher’s day is commendable,” said Kundapur city project authority president S Vijaya Poojary.

He was speaking on the teacher’s day and the felicitation programme held by school education and literacy department, block education office, Kundapur and central resource centre at Kundapur Vyasaraja auditorium on September 5. President of the municipal council Veena Bhasker Mendon presided over the programme.

Teacher’s day celebration committee president, Taluk panchayat executive officer Mahesh Kumar Holla, Kundapur block resource centre officer Ashok Naik, Kundapur zone primary school teachers association president Ganesh Kumar Shetty, aided primary school teachers association president Narayana Shetty, high school teachers association president Udaya Kumar Shetty, physical education teachers association president Prakashchandra Shetty, high school headmasters association president Jyothi B, taluk youth services and sports officer Kusumakar Shetty, aided high school teachers association president Jayasheela Shetty, taluk Ganiga samaja seva sangha president Prabhaker Kumbhasi, teachers cooperative bank director Kishan Raj and others were present.

43 people including award recipient teachers and retired teachers were felicitated. Teacher Rajesh prayed. Block education officer Arun Kumar Shetty welcomed and gave an introduction. B R B Santhosh Shetty compered the programme. Jaddinagadde school teacher Shashidhar Shetty rendered the vote of thanks.
