Mangaluru: Shriyana S Mallya wins silver medal in Karnataka State Chess Championship

Mangaluru, Sep 6: Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Shriyana S Mallya has won the silver medal in the Under-15 girls section of the Fide Rated Karnataka State Chess Championship 2022 organised by Karnataka State Chess Association from September 2 to 4 here .

Shriyana is learning chess from Rao's Chess Corner where FM (Fide Master) Sharan Rao is the head coach. She is a student of Lourdes Central School , Bejai, Mangaluru.

She scored 7 wins and one draw in 9 rounds to secure the Silver Medal.

With this performance, Shriyana S Mallya will be selected for the nationals which will be held in New Delhi.
