Mangaluru, Sep 7: "In the name of Praveen Nettaru's murder case probe, the BJP government is targeting leaders of the Muslim community and organization by misusing the NIA. The Popular Front of India (PFI) severely condemns this," said A K Ashraf, state secretary of PFI.

He was addressing a press meet here on Wednesday here on Wednesday September 7.

He also questioned why the BJP government has not handed over the investigation of the murder cases of Masood and Fazil and other youths to the NIA. “The government is discriminating and targeting the Muslim community.

“After the death of Praveen, BJP workers were angry. Therefore, to control the anger of the party workers, BJP handed over the case to the NIA. The NIA is being misused and raids are being carried out at the residence and offices of Muslim leaders.

“The BJP should stop such raids targeting Muslim leaders and leaders of the PFI. If not, the PFI will hold a legal and democratic fight against the injustice meted out,” he said.
