Mangaluru, Sep 10: The district Congress took out Sri Narayana Guru rally from Central railway station to Kudroli temple carrying Sri Narayana Guru’s message on Saturday September 10 on the eve of Sri Narayana Guru Jayanthi.
Addressing the gathering, B K Hariprasad said, “Sri Narayana Guru was a great philosopher, spiritual leader and social reformer who first arrived to Dakshina Kannada at Mangaluru railway station. He stood with the deprived section and became their voice. His message was spread throughout the nation. There is a need to spread his ideology.”
District Congress president Harish Kumar, former MLA Ramanath Rai, former MLC Ivan D’Souza, former MLAs J R Lobo, Mohiuddin Bava and Abhayachandra Jain, Congress leaders Naveen D’Souza, Shashidhar Hegde, Prakash Salian and others were present.
