Mangaluru: MCC Bank, Ashoknagar branch holds customer meet

Mangaluru, Sep 10: On the occasion of the post centenary decennial celebration of the bank, customer meet of MCC Bank Ltd, Ashoknagar Branch, was organized at St Dominic Church, Silver Jubliee hall on this Saturday September 10.

The meet was presided over by the chairman of the MCC Bank, Anil Lobo.

The meet was inaugurated by Fr Daniel Sampath Veigas, parish priest of St Dominic Church, Ashoknagar, Mangaluru. Pradep D'Souza, secretary, Coastal Development Authority, Mangaluru, Noreen F Pinto, former employee of Vijay Bank and secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, St Dominic Church, Ashoknagar, Leela Rajani, FDA, Lady Goshen Hospital, Mangaluru and Mohammed Muneer, director, Kairangala VSSSN, Kairangala were the guests of honour. 

Fr Daniel Sampath Veigas, inaugurated the customer meet by lighting the lamp. In his inaugural speech, he congratulated the chairman, management and staff of the bank for rendering selfless service to the society for the past 110 years. He appreciated the bank for its transparency in the customer service. While he congratulated the leadership of the chairman for bringing the customers together in large number for the customer meet, he called upon the bank to reach out to the rural areas and to serve the customers irrespective of their caste, creed and social status. He wished all good for the future growth of the bank and blessed the entire gathering.

Leela Rajani, expressed her satisfaction at the service of the bank and wished all well for the bank which is celebrating its post centenary decennial this year. Mohammed Muneer, congratulated the bank which has helped it’s customers to come up in financial strategies.

On this occasion the customers who celebrate their birthdays in the month of September were honoured. The senior citizen customers were congratulated and honoured with shawl and flower bouquet.
 
As a part of customer meet, open session was held to get the suggestions, opinions and to share their grievances. The customers actively took part in this interactive session and gave their valuable suggestions for the growth of the bank. The bank felicitated the children of the customers who have excelled in their studies and sports.

Chairman Anil Lobo, in his presidential speech, clarified the reasons for conducting the customer meet in all the branches on the occasion of the post centenary decennial celebration of the bank. He expressed his happiness at the growth in Ashoknagar branch with deposit growth from Rs 20 crore in 2018 to Rs 32 crore in 2022 and advances from Rs 9 crore to Rs 14 crore. He requested the customers to be the brand ambassadors of the bank and to give opportunity to serve them with greater vigour and zeal. He congratulated the branch managers and staff members for taking initiative and success of the customer meet.
 
Directors J P Rodrigues, Harold Monteiro, Irene Rebello, Dr Freeda Dsouza, Anil Patrao, David D'Souza, Roshan D'Souza, Marcel M D'Souza, board of management members, Alwyn P Monteiro, Felix D'Cruz, Sharmila Menezes, deputy general manager Raj F Menezes among others were present.

General manager Sunil Menezes explained the importance of the customer meet. Professional director and Ashoknagar branch support director Sushanth Saldanha welcomed the gathering. Branch manager Irene J D'Souza proposed vote of thanks. Preetham Noronha, compered the programme.

Employees of Ashoknagar branch, Cyprian D'Souza, Michelle Pinto, Rohan Rock Pereira and Maxim Saldanha were actively associated in holding the meet. More than 350 customers of the branch actively participated in the customer meet.
