Bantwal, Sep 11: Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel said the government is on the right path by following Brahmashri Narayana Guru's philosophy and implementing his teachings.

He was speaking at a function here on Sunday, September 11 held in the Ganadapaddu's Brahmashri Narayana Guru Mandira on B C Road held under the auspices of Billava Samaja Seva Sangha on the occasion of 168th birth anniversary of Narayana Guru after felicitating several achievers.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Nayak was the chief guest. Bantwal taluk Billava Samaja Seva Sangha president K Senappa Kotiyan presided over the function. Vice-president N Mahabala Bangera, general secretary Ramesh M Tumbe along with secretary Anand Saliyana Shambooru, treasurer Umesh Suvarna, auditor justice Satish B and Mahila samithi president Revathi Badagbellooru were present.

On the occasion, former GP member M Tungappa Bangera, Kittur Rani Chennamma award winner Shailaja Rajesh and B C Road Sri Raneshwari temple Seva Samithi president B Vishwanath were felicitated.

Scholar Dr Dakshayini Kandooru and Swathi Kudroli were also honoured.

Cultural programmes, bhajans, guru pooja, mahapooja and mass feeding programme was held under the chairmanship of Senappa Kotiyan.
