Udupi, Apr 21: St Lawrence parish, Moodubelle will stage ‘Shegunachi Soon’, a Konkani social play at the church premises, here on Easter Sunday April 24 at 6.00 pm.
Walter Monteiro is the playwright and director of this Konkani social play. It was earlier staged at Mother of Sorrows parish ground, here during February 2011.
The play will be staged free for the parishioners of Moodubelle and the neighbouring parishes. However, Fr Joswey Fernandes, parish priest of Moodubelle has appealed generous parishioners to sponsor the play in terms of lighting, sound, stage, seating arrangement and so on.
Fr Joswey Fernandes said that after reimbursing the expenses of the play, the surplus amount will be utilized to provide certain amenities to the students of St Lawrence Educational Institutions.
