Mangaluru: Srinivas University organizes certificate programme on professionalism, etiquettes

Mangaluru, Nov 16: Institute Of Port, Shipping and Supply Chain Management (IPSSCM) Srinivas University – BBA Department - (Port, Shipping Management and Logistics) organized a three days certificate programme on professionalism and etiquettes from November 7 to 9.

A series of guest lecture and hands on experience sessions were conducted as a part of the programme. Professor Swaminathan S dean, IBHMT, Srinivas University delivered a talk on the topic 'Etiquette and Grooming' for first year and final year (Port, Shipping Management and Logistics) students on November 7. He spoke about Etiquettes and grooming to be maintained in daily life to face professional challenges and enlighten knowledge on basic etiquette among students.

Management activities to improve students Communication skills, motivation, Team building and to give insights on future opportunities after their graduation. Professor Venkatesh Amin, director MDP, IMC, Srinivas University, took the session on Management Activities. Students participated with great Joy and learned by participating in management activities like Group Discussion, Newspaper Reading, and in management games on November 8.

Dr Pradeep M D associate professor and Research Guide, ISSH, Srinivas University delivered a talk on the topic 'Building self-esteem with positive attitude' for first year and final year (Port, Shipping Management and Logistics) students. He spoke about importance of self-esteem to build a successful career and gave suitable example with small stories to connect themselves to the real world expectation from them and made them realize the role of students in nation building.

Dean - Dr Sonia Noronha, course coordinator professor Sagar Srinivas, guest lecture coordinator-professor Meghashree and professor Souparnika, faculty members and all the students were present at the session.
