Bengaluru, Nov 20: Progress in education is essential for the development of communities and it is necessary that they make concerted efforts to provide educational facilities, said Higher Education Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan on Sunday.
Participating in the Pratibhotsav celebrations of Karnataka Aryavaishya Mahasabha in Bengaluru, he emphasized the need for educational development in the present era of globalization and competitive environment.
In the competitive environment and globalization, talented and educated youngsters get plenty of opportunities for growth and progress, he said.
Dr Narayan said the National Education Policy (NEP), being vigorously implemented by the Narendra Modi regime, ensures opportunities for all communities for development and it is necessary to opt for skill-based and multi-disciplinary education for prosperity.
Congress opposition leader in the assembly and former chief minister Siddaramaiah, BJP MP P C Mohan, BJP MLA Manjunath and Ravishankar of the Mahasabha were among those who attended the programme.
