Mangaluru: Constitution Day celebration held at GFGC Kavoor

Mangaluru, Nov 28: Constitution Day celebration was held on Saturday, November 26 at GFGC Kavoor.

The resource person, Sonal Alva, advocate gave an insight into the framing  of the Indian Constitution. He emphasized the importance of Constitution Day, the significance of its celebration and commemorated the people who contributed to the development of the Indian Constitution. He highlighted the basic differences of the Indian Constitution to that of other countries with examples.

Dr Santhosh Pinto Student Welfare officer,conducted the pledge taking ceremony by reading out the Preamble of the Constitution. The president of the programme, Dr Geetha ML gave her  presidential remarks about the significance of Constitution Day.

Prameela Rao, assistant professor in Political Science welcomed the gathering. Mohini, NSS programme officer proposed the vote of thanks.

Mamtha U, HOD of Political science was present. Ms Jyothi, III BA  compered the programme.
