Bantwal: VHP member death – No injuries on body, investigation continues

Bantwal, Jan 14: The police investigation is continuing in the death case of Rajesh Poojary (38), BJP leader of Sajipanadu and member of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), whose mortal remains were found in Netravati river near old Panemangalore bridge. The exact cause of death will be known only after the post mortem report is handed over to police.

According to the preliminary investigation of the police, no marks of injuries are found on the body of Rajesh Poojary. Hence, the cause of death is not clear.

Mobile phone and wallet were found in the shirt and trouser pockets. Police are tracing the last calls from his mobile. In addition, verification of nearby CCTV cameras is also being done by the police. Forensic team has also visited the spot and collected vital clues.

    There is a CC Camera when entering from Panemangalore side of bridge, if it is in working condition and if he has entered the bridge from that side it will reveal the time and if anyone was with him, or some vehicle was following him etc. Truth will rest all speculations to rest.
