Mangaluru, Feb 19: A huge loss was incurred as the roof of a house belonging to Umanatha Salian near Adyapadi Sankesha under the limits of Kandavara gram panchayat caught fire here in the wee hours of Saturday.

Umanath Salian had gone to a temple for Shivarathri celebration on Saturday.

The house caught fire when he was away.

Several items including the roof of the house are completely gutted in the fire.
