Puttur: Absconding accused in assault, death threat case arrested

Puttur, Feb 20: Police arrested who was absconding since eight months without attending hearing of a case related to assault and threat with life at Dharbe.

Puttur police apprehended the accused on Sunday February 19 from Afraz Paradise apartment building at Savanoor.

Sulaiman, a resident of Kombali in Madannoor village is the accused arrested by the police. In 2021, Sulaiman had barged illegally into a hotel at Dharbe, assaulted a person and threatened to kill him. A case in this regard was registered in Puttur city police station. However, Sulaiman did not attend the hearing in court and went underground. So a warrant was taken against him.

Police produced the accused in front of the magistrate and he is sent to judicial custody.
