Udupi, Feb 20: A woman student, who ordered study books online, lost Rs 80,602 as an online fraudster made her believe that he is the delivery man of a courier company.

Roopashree M C (27), residing in a rented house near Beejadi Canara Bank, Koteshwara, had ordered books for her studies through the online mode. As she did not receive the books even after a week of ordering them, she checked for the details of the courier company on Google and called a mobile number that was displayed in the search.
