Udupi: Son who killed father three years ago sentenced to life in prison

Udupi, Feb 23: Justice Dinesh Hegde of second additional district and sessions court sentenced son accused of killing his father three years ago to life in prison.

Prajoth Shetty (50), resident of Perampalli Bhandara Mane, is the accused who is convicted by the court.

Inquiry of 25 witnesses out of 35 was conducted. The accused was sentenced to life and also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 fine. In addition, he was given three months simple imprisonment for hitting his mother.

Public prosecutor Jayaram Shetty argued for the prosecution.
