Hyderabad, Jun 26: Ratnakar Raju, nephew of Satya Sai Baba, who is in centre of controversy for alleged mishandling of money in the trust, has pleaded devotees of Satya Sai Baba worldwide, to not believe in such 'false' allegations.

"Do not believe such baseless allegations. The details of money found in the car were given to the police and investigation is on. I have faith in our police, I cannot disclose all the details in public. Some people who don't go along well with the trust are making such false allegations," he told the media in Hyderabad on Saturday June 25 evening.

Ratnakar was questoned by the police on Saturday in connection with the Rs 35-lac cash found in a vehicle near Karnataka - Andhra border. This happened just a day after the opening of Satya Sai Baba's personal chamber by the trustees in the presence of government-appointed observers. About Rs 12 crore in cash and 100 kg of gold was found inside the chamber.

Meanwhile, the government of Andhra Pradesh also swung into action by cancelling some of the important exemptions given to the trust in the past.

A large number of devotees were seen protesting against the trust and requesting the central government to take over the trust and ashram management
