SSLC examinations begin at over 150 centres in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 31: SSLC examinations in the state began on Friday March 31.

The SSLC examinations will be held at 98 examination centres in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district and 55 examination centres in Udupi district with 8 centers in Byndoor, 9 in Kundapur, 10 in Karkala, 12 in Brahmavar, and 16 in Udupi.

In DK, 29572 students from 523 schools will take up the examination, while in Udupi, 13753 students, including 7185 boys and 6568 girls will write the examination.

The deputy commissioners (DCs) of DK and Udupi districts have placed prohibitory orders on 200 meters area surrounding the SSLC examination centres from March 31 to April 15. The order is given to prevent any unlawful activity, untoward incidents and hold the examinations smoothly without any obstacles.

Free travel facility is provided for students to reach and return to and from the examinations centres in KSRTC buses. This facility can be obtained by showing the exam hall ticket to the bus conductor.
