Dubai, Aug 6: The badminton courts at Dubai Sports World WTC were abuzz with excitement as the Konkan Yuva Badminton Tournament concluded with a glorious display of skill, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. With a staggering 116 teams and over 200 players, the tournament truly showcased the growing passion for badminton in the region.
The event's inaugural ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of president Denzil Moras, alongside the back bone former presidents Viyon Robin and Vivian Fernandes, who kickstarted the tournament with a ceremonial opening. Their encouragement and support set the stage for an unforgettable competition.
The tournament featured five categories, each delivering thrilling and intense matches:
Men's Doubles Winners: Shuttle Hitters The Men's Doubles category witnessed fierce battles and electrifying rallies. In the end, the duo of Shuttle Hitters emerged victorious, showcasing impeccable coordination and strategic play.
Women's Doubles Winners: United Loretto Friends The Women's Doubles category saw remarkable talent on display, and the team United Loretto Friends claimed the championship title. Their skillful shots and synchronized movements made them stand out on the court.
Mixed Doubles Winners: Pangla Shuttlers In the Mixed Doubles category, Pangla Shuttlers displayed a seamless partnership, blending power and finesse to secure their well-deserved victory.
