Mangaluru: St Agnes College students bag ranks in ACCA

Mangaluru, Nov 4: In September 2023 ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) session, two students from St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, Alisha Saldanha and Sherlita Monteiro, have secured remarkable achievements in the audit and assurance paper. Alisha Saldanha has secured all India rank 1 and world rank 6 in the audit and assurance paper of ACCA, while Sherlita Monteiro has secured all India rank 2 and world rank 7 during the September 2023 session.

Alisha Saldanha is the daughter of Vernon and Patra Saldanha. Alisha is currently studying in third year BCom ACCA, and has previously secured a rank in the financial management exam, awarded the principal's roll of honour for semesters I,II, and III and scored the highest marks in BCom in the I year. Saldanha has proven to be an all-rounder, who excels both inside and outside the classroom. Apart from her studies, she is also a student ambassador for the college and participates in multiple commerce and management competitions.

Sherlita Monteiro is the daughter of Dr Syprian Monteiro, principal CTE and joint director (development) and Maria Jacintha D’Silva, officer, Canara Bank. She has consistently demonstrated dedication in her studies and has made the principal's roll of honour for semesters I, II and III. She has cleared 9 out of 13 papers of the ACCA examination.

She is actively involved in extracurricular activities by participating in various commerce and management competitions and has proven to be an all-rounder, who excels both inside and outside the classroom. Apart from her studies, she is passionate about music. Sherlita is currently studying in III year BCom.
