Byndoor, Nov 10: A unique programme titled Janata Avishkar 2023 about science, business and culture was held in the premises of Janata Pre University college, Hemmady here on Thursday.

Padmashree award recipient Harekala Hajabba who inaugurated the programme said that the unique event held for all round growth of students by the college is significant. Secretary and treasurer of Hemmady V V V Mandali, Madhama Poojary presided over the programme.

Kundapur Srasti Infotech Keonics director Harshavardhana Shetty spoke commending the work of Janata college to develop the knowledge of business among students. He called on students to learn to go through hardships. “Programmes such as business fairs are conducive to building careers. Students should make good use of them”, he said.

Hemmadi Meenugarara Prathamika Sahakara Society branch manager Uday Kumar Hattiangadi, educational guide and advisor Chitra Karanth Hemmady, Janata High school headmaster Manju Kalavara and PU college vice principal Ramesh Poojary were on the dais.

Hemmady Janata PU College principal Ganesh Mogaveera welcomed and gave an introduction. College Kannada professor Uday Naik compered the programme. Commerce professor Jyothi Mogaveera proposed a vote of thanks.

Programme highlights:

A business fair of Janata students in 30 open stalls in the spacious Janata sports ground for the growth of business knowledge and marketing skills among students.
Taluk level Janapada group dance by high school students of Kundapur and Byndoor taluks.
Science amazement: Taluk level science model competitions of Kundapur and Byndoor taluk high school students.
Exhibition of drawings created by Janata students.
