Udupi: 'Slain airhostess Ainaz relied on accused Praveen Chowgule as her senior'

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi

Udupi, Nov 26: "My daughter had paid Rs 28,000 for the scooter which was found in her room in Mangaluru and she had informed about it to me," said Noor Mohammad, the father of Ainaaz, airhostess who was murdered along with three of her family members by her flight cabin colleague Preavven Chowgule here in Nejar.

Speaking with media for the very first time after the accused Praveen Chowgule was remanded to judicial custody and the completion of the probe by the Udupi police, Noor Mohammad recalled the trust his slain daughter Ainaz had on the accused.

Noor Mohammed said, "My daughter had taken the accused's help as she found difficulty in finding a room to stay. Relying on him as her senior, she had asked for his help because usually Muslim girls don't get the rented rooms so easily. Both of my daughters Ainaz and Afnan were staying in the room together and were also cooking for themselves. I visited the room recently and also spoke with the owner. The owner has said that he will return the advance amount paid by my daughters. The owner has also informed me that only once the accused Praveen Chowgule had visited that place for showing the room. My daughters had bought a new washing machine and some other household items with my money of which I was aware. As Praveen Chowgule had bought a new car for himself he had given the scooter to my daughter for using it for local commute but my daughter had informed me that she had paid Rs 28,000 for the scooter and it would be registered in her name in the next three months. I was saddened to see the daily dairy maintained by my younger daughter where she has mentioned all her daily schedules and other matters."

"I was too much saddened when one of Afnan's colleague's daughter spoke to me during my visit to Mangaluru after the incident. They were working together. I also found the Quran in their room and understood that they were very much religious and doing regular prayers," he added.

Our miillion million heartfelt condolences to you dear Noor ji. Such tragedy should never happen with any father who was working hard for years for the betterment of his children. You are in my prayers and asking almighty to grant his utmost strength to you, your son and your family members. No one should go through this phase in their life. One side unbearable pain because of this tragedy.....other side intolerable pain by some channels by delivering unwanted/irrelevant/non sense statements just based on assumptions presumptions. Lost lives are not coming back is true. But, to live with those pricking statements is really horrible. God bless you and your son abundantly... be strong....take care of yourself first ...🙏🙏

This ordeal that the father went through we cannot raise any questions whatsoever; most fathers are ruled by their daughters lovingly. However, it raises one question. It takes certain Chougule to get the kids accomodation in Mangalore? Don't get me wrong. Most flats are unoccupied in Mangalore and rentals are low in Mangalore too and this family we are told are well off. Anyway, looks like this family over trusted this R**C*L. God forbid, no family should face this ordeal.

Leaving the girls on other’s mercy the biggest mistake father has done , if father or brother can’t able to spare time for daughters needs now no use of blaming the murderer. In present world most of the men treat girls as material. Very few have sincere hearts.

Empathize with the father's sorrow! Very shocking; but mysterious turn of events considering the magnitude of the crime with no well defined motive to justify??

very difficult to say....just put yourself in his shoes and think for a moment. it is a huge disaster for anyone. it is not right on our part to give any judgement as there is law and above all there is God who knows everything. I just pray for eternal rest of the departed souls and courage and strength to Mr Noor Mohammed and his son and other family members...

Mr Ramu, what is wrong in a father defending his daughter's integrity ss long as what he says is the truth? Do you have any other information about her character which you can prove with evidence? You just want to cast aspersions on someone's character about whom you know nothing. I too do not know anything about her character other than whathas been disclosed by the police after a thorough investigation. No one is to be accused until the guilt is proved. Don't exhibit your communal bias and project your own way of thinking on someone else's mind. Please सुधर जाओ ।

Whatever he may be trying to do, nobody has any right to judge how the deceased were or what they were doing. And moreover, they didnt deserve to die and no reason can justify the killings. The accused has to be given a death sentence.

Kujumaji; agree to disagree; taking a broader view; there should be a very strong motive to justify a mass murder of this magnitude since the accused supposedly is mentally normal, and does not have any prior criminal background??

When a close member of a family gets killed, Majority people get disconnected from the world & detach them self's from all the drama taking around that murder! We should appreciate the strong heart of Mr.Noor Mohammad, who came forward to defend his loving daughter, even after his world is taken away with the very unfortunate incident!!! No one should go through his situation...
