Mangaluru: St Agnes College (Autonomous) celebrates 'Agno Gala'

Mangaluru, Feb 12: St Agnes College marked its Agno Gala Students' Day on February 10, at the open-air stage of the college. The event, themed 'Red Carpet', was orchestrated by the Student Council. The day was inaugurated by a ramp walk featuring Sr Dr M Venissa AC, the college principal, Sr Clara A C, the vice principal, Sr Dr M Vinora AC, the PG coordinator, and Malavika Shetty, the student council coordinator.

Addressing the audience, the principal extended her best wishes to the students, emphasizing the celebration of their creativity and talent. She applauded their achievements, noting the accolades they brought to the institution through their prowess displayed in various competitions throughout the year.

The program commenced with a vibrant dance performance by the student cabinet. Awardees of the day showcased their talents and were duly rewarded for their participation in dance and music competitions held during the student's week. Prizes were distributed to winners who excelled in competitions organized by different associations and departments during the academic year 2023-24.

Subsequently, the programme featured presentations by teachers and non-teaching staff from various departments, while a prayer song was beautifully rendered by college students. Hosting duties for the student program were gracefully handled by Michelle, Manasa, Rachana, and Harshitha Henry, while Rodney Vas and Akshatha Shetty took charge of hosting the teachers' segment.
