Daijiworld Media Network - Moodbidri (SB)

Moodbidri, May 21: As readers may recall, a horrific accident occurred at Handelu, Moodbidri on April 24, resulting in serious injuries to two family members from Sampige. The victims were returning from the hospital after serving food to an elderly family member. This heart-breaking incident cast a pall of gloom over the entire family.

Following the accident, Vanaja (60) and her grandson Darshan, a second-year PUC student, were severely injured and admitted to A J Hospital in Mangaluru. Both underwent emergency treatment and major surgeries. Darshan has since been discharged but requires six months of bed rest. Vanaja remains in the ICU, struggling for her life and undergoing specialized treatment. The family has already borrowed over 15 lakh rupees for initial treatment costs from various financial institutions, and the expenses continue to mount.

The accident and the escalating medical costs have made life miserable for the family. In addition to Vanaja's ongoing treatment, they must repay the significant amount borrowed from money lenders. The distressed family is now seeking help from kind-hearted individuals and donors to help them through these tough times.

Daijiworld urges readers to support Darshan and Vanaja during this difficult period.
