Mangaluru, May 27: Three people were injured in a head-on collision between two cars on the newly constructed Harekala-Adyar bridge on Monday.

This is the first accident on this bridge, which has a court stay order.

An Alto car driven by a woman was traveling from Puttur to Adyar, while an EcoSport car was approaching from the other direction. It is reported that the woman driver, her co-passenger, and the driver of the other car were injured.

Traffic police arrived at the scene and took necessary measures. Although the land of local residents is expected to be submerged due to the dam, the concerned department has not yet made any decisions on the matter. The case is currently sub judice. As a result, the bridge has not been officially inaugurated, even though construction was completed over a year ago.

Don’t talk nonsense. The bridge is in very good condition and has been constructed well. I travel on it everyday and so do many people. Go and see it for yourself before commenting. When two carelessly driven vehicles collide , it doesn’t necessitate comments about infrastructure all the time. Speak to the locals and you’ll get the right picture

Forget. This Kujuma just wants to degrade Rams name. Just to let you know, this project is started by UT Khader. The bridge is well built for small vehicles. Vehicles Drivers should drive sensibly. However major issue is the connection to main road towards Adyar. They have adjusted a small road to connect to Highway, which is causing problems to residents. Always traffic jam since two vehicles cant pass simultaneously in that road. Also Bikes are driven recklessly posing dangers to residents.
