Mangaluru, Jun 8: An orientation programme was held on June 8 at St Theresa's school Bendur, for the parents and guardians of the new students who registered for this academic year 2024-25 with renewed zeal.
The orientation began with a graceful prayer dance. The aim of this orientation was a chance for the parents to connect with the school and learn about its events. The chief guest Doctor Vinay V Rao, a consultant ENT and a head and neck surgeon at Father Muller, Mangaluru, appreciated the school’s growth and requested the parents to remember that change is inevitable and that parents and teachers must collaborate closely. Even though a child may have a good or bad day, it is our responsibility as parents to collaborate in order to improve the child’s environment. He advised always keeping in mind that discipline, love, prayer, and involvement all contribute to a child's development.
In her speech, Sr Lourdes, the school principal, emphasized the need for having efficient communication and asked for their support and cooperation in order to give the students the best environment possible for their entire growth.
The parents were briefed on the curriculum, school rules, instructional strategies, and extracurricular activities. She emphasized the importance of parents, teachers, the school, and the community working together to help the child grow into a self-assured young person. With the intention of assisting the students in developing into joyful, capable, and imaginative adults, the programme came to a joyful and contented conclusion.
