Bengaluru, June 17: Leader of Opposition and BJP leader R Ashoka has demanded the withdrawal of hike in petrol and diesel prices in the state and alleged that the Congress government has resorted to the increase to avenge the party’s defeat in the Lok Sabha polls.

Speaking at the BJP protest near the Freedom Park against the price hike on Monday, he said the Congress party was able to win only 9 seats after bragging about winning 20 seats and now wants to punish the people.

The ruling Congress party, which came to power by promising guarantees in the assembly elections last year, has offered all kinds of Bhagyas of hikes such as milk prices, alcohol, stamp duty guidance value, electricity tariff and now the petrol and diesel price hike.

He alleged that the government is bankrupt as the revenue go to funding the guarantees and now they seek to mobilise Rs 3,000-4,000 crore through petrol and diesel price hike. “This hike will result in increase of prices of essential commodities as the transport costs will be passed on to the people. Prices of vegetables, milk, fruits, coffee and tea will increase and there will be a hike in bus fares and autorickshaw, taxi fares,” he said.

Modi got very cheap oil from Putin because of sanctions on Russian oil and the price he got was below the market price . This oil was refined in Indian refineries and was sold at new York and Amsterdam markets for huge profits. Can these morons shed light what happened to that money made while Indians were paying higher fuel prices.

If Centre hiked the oil price or state hiked the oil price is not the matter. But poor and middle class people will suffer. Its not only oil price will increase all product price. Congress supporters also pay more and BJP Supported also pay more. One thing is sure Nangu free Ningu free is hit badly to karnataka people

Congress’s Bhagyas and guarantees are not from public money but from Congress’s personal account. BJP should protest for disaster relief funds for affected people and farmers and equitable GST share of the state for development of the state. This protest by BJP is for the benefit of its Suit and Boot rich friends who own multiply luxury cars but they should satisfy themselves that fuel prices in Karnataka are much lower than their own BJP ruled states despite increase in fuel price. Blind bhakths are blinder than blind protesting without rhyme or reason dropping their own Chaddis behind to get exposed and begging to be rammed.

Thanks Lord someone is there most concerned due to rise in petrol/diesel prices. Whoever's govt should raise voice if found wrong in there activities. If increased at least minimum Rupee One can be accepted by large means. After protest looks like again decrease price to some extent to please the people. How to live in such hatsh condition when standard of living become much difficult to handle.
