Mangaluru: Madaninagar tragedy - Compensation distributed to surviving family

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Jul 1: The speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, U T Khader, stated that while the government has provided compensation to the family affected by the Madaninagar house collapse tragedy, no amount of money can alleviate the pain of losing family members. He praised the prompt response of the public and government officials when the tragedy occurred and emphasized the importance of preventing such incidents in the future.

Khader made these remarks while handing over a cheque of Rs 20 lac to Fatima Rasheena at the Madrasa of Juma Masjid in Madani Nagar. Fatima is the surviving family member of the four people who died in the house collapse. Khader noted, "There was no need for me to come personally to distribute the cheque. This is a tragedy, and we owe gratitude to everyone who helped during the mishap. This compensation is for the natural calamity. Compensation for the house will be provided by the revenue department."

The event was attended by Ullal taluk CEO Shaila Karagi, tahsildar Pradeep Kurdekar, revenue inspector Pramod, gram panchayat president Vishalakshi, vice president Mahabala Deppalimar, and others.

Dear jossey, aren't minorities humans? Don't they deserve compensation for natural calamities just like anybody else or even u? I hope u don't view certain people like how zionists do - lesser beings. That would be very inhuman

Appreciate quick response of govt under able leadership of UTK. Bjp leaders are busy protecting their punters in releasing them from jail, creating scene in station or asking police to settle cases of assault over women.
