Mangaluru: Special task force of 56 people to handle Mescom complaints

Mangaluru, Jul 1: Mescom has announced the formation of a special task force comprising 56 individuals to handle complaints more effectively. This initiative is an addition to the existing team of 800 gangmen and 56 special vehicles currently in operation to prevent potential calamities caused by rain.

The newly sanctioned task force will be allocated as follows: four members for Attavar, 10 for Kavoor, 10 for Puttur, seven for Bantwal, two for Udupi, four for Karkala, eight for Kundapur, eight for Shivamogga, and three for Shikaripura.

A special campaign has also been launched to identify and rectify dangerous spots within Mescom's jurisdiction. Starting Monday, July 1, two dedicated telephone numbers will be operational as directed by the Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly.

Additionally, 24x7 customer service centers will be available in all 64 sub-divisions to receive consumer complaints. In emergency situations, consumers can call the 1912 emergency helpline. Mescom can also be reached through various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp at 9483041912, their official website, and the Seva Sindhu portal.
