Mangaluru: Notorious ‘Chaddi Gang’ linked to nationwide dacoities?

Mangaluru, Jul 12: Police investigations have revealed that the notorious ‘Chaddi Gang’, originating from Madhya Pradesh and recently apprehended by city police, is involved in dacoity activities across India.

Following the media coverage of the Chaddi Gang members' arrest, the Mangaluru city police commissioner’s office received multiple calls from various parts of Karnataka and other states, including Uttar Pradesh, where the gang is suspected of committing several dacoities.

The two accused, Raju Singwania (24) from Guna district, Madhya Pradesh, and Bali (22) from Ashoknagar, Madhya Pradesh, who were injured during a police shootout while attempting to escape, are currently recovering at Wenlock Hospital. The other two accused, Mayur from Bhopal Gulabganj, Madhya Pradesh, and Vicky from Guna Kotwali, are in judicial custody.

    Original Chaddi gang might be happy and offended too. Since they have lengthened their chaddis but the name Chaddi is synonymous with their attire. Now new gangs will prop up Thotte Gang!

    There are more Chadi gangs in Karnataka too. These Chaddi gangs are more dangerous than the MP dacoits. The khaki Chadi gangs breed hatred in communities and brain wash the youth into committing violence. Better to put an end to the Khaki Chaddi gangs too…
