Ileasa The Voice of Ocean hosts 'Nanda Deepa Sandeep' programme

Bengaluru, Jul 17: Former Air Force Warrant Officer Atradi Suresh Hegde emphasized that if young people participate in programs like Agniveer and serve in the army for a few years, they will live their entire lives with military discipline. He stated that maintaining a sense of honor and respect for soldiers through programs like 'Ileasa Sandeep Nanda Deepa' is commendable. He was speaking at the 'Nanda Deepa Sandeep' event dedicated to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan by Ileasa The Voice of Ocean (Regd) organization on Sunday (Jul 14) in Bengaluru.

"I had heard of Ileasa, but did not know much about them. However, after witnessing this event, I have decided to always support them. Such programs boost the morale of soldiers and their families," he praised.

Havildar B Ramesh, a resident of Mysuru who lost the lower part of his body in an attack by militants in Jammu and Kashmir, spoke about his life. He shared that becoming a soldier was his lifelong dream, and despite being less physically strong than his friends, he was selected due to his determination. Although severely injured in a terrorist attack, he is now leading a content retired life. The army taught him self-confidence and resilience. His passion for music led to a friendship with the Ileasa organization, which he deeply appreciates. At the audience's request, he sang "Sandesh Aata Hai," moving everyone to tears.

Sandeep's father spoke, saying, "When Ileasa first approached me about the program, I agreed half-heartedly due to being tired of many events. But today, seeing their genuine dedication has filled my heart. I hope more such programs take place."

Dr Rameshchandra, Dr Sushila, Sudhakar Shetty, Atmaram Alva, Suma Kote, Prakash Pavanaje, Namita Ananth, and Dinesh Kinnigoli performed heartfelt songs, creating emotional moments.

Soori Marnadu and his wife Dr Vidyasuri Marnadu came from Mumbai to participate in the program. They recited Shantharam Shetty's poem "Duryodhana Bewardhana," captivating everyone. Namita Ananth Rao's student paid tribute to the 'Nanda Deepa Sandeep' program with a dance performance. Ananth Rao hosted the event, recalling the dedication shown by soldiers, police, and Taj Hotel staff during the Mumbai attack.

The event included a message for Major Sandeep through a poem written by Shantharam Shetty, which was printed and distributed. Active Ileasa members Vivek Mandekare, Ajesh Charmadi, Dr Rajesh Alva, Mohan Kamakshi, Prashant, and Disha Shetty collaborated to make this dream project a reality.
